Lean Government – Yes, It Can be Done!
Misael Cabrera, PE
From “necessary evil” to “model agency” – the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality’s transformational journey will be shared including lessons learned, anecdotes and performance data. We will also engage participants in exercises that will create awareness of key Lean Management System principles and how they can be applied not only to government, but in other knowledge work settings.
“In this session you will learn…”
- about application of Lean principles in non-traditional areas;
- the importance of deploying a holistic LMS that impacts all areas of your organization;
- how context must shape the speed, messaging, and methods for a LMS deployment, especially in nontraditional settings; and
- a simplified model for organizational culture and leadership’s best pivot point to improve it.
